Kevin Cunningham

Investigator - IAAI-CFI

Kevin is the founder and CEO of Cunningham Investigative Associates and a Certified Fire Investigator as recognized by the International Association of Arson Investigators. Kevin was one of the first investigators to become Certified Fire Investigators in the State of Georgia under the IAAI CFI Program in 1986 and has previously been a firefighter and a law enforcement officer.

Corey Cunningham

Investigator - IAAI-CFI

Corey received his IAAI-CFI certification in 2002 after serving as a technician on more than 800 fire scene investigations. Corey has over seventeen years of experience in the investigation of fire and explosion scenes, to determine the cause and point of origin and is highly skilled in interviewing witnesses, performing inventories, conducting courthouse records checks

Jeff Johnson

IAAI-CFI 

Jeff is an IAAI-CFI, NAFI Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and NAFI Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator and a Georgia P.O.S.T. Certified Arson Investigator and is active in the International Association of Arson Investigators, Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association and National Association of Fire Investigators.  Jeff has over 27 years of experience in public safety in the metro Atlanta area as a firefighter and paramedic.  Jeff received his Associates Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University in 2010. 

Vanessa Kelley

Office Manager 

Vanessa has been the Office Manager for Cunningham Investigative Associates for over 8 years. Vanessa handles all of the administrative responsibilities for Cunningham Investigative Associates.

Prior to working with Cunningham Investigative Associates, she worked as an office manager and team lead for over 20 years in the insurance and telecom industries.

Vanessa has lived in Georgia since 1992 where she resides with her husband and son, who recently graduated from high school.

South GA Office

William Knight (Bill)

IAAI-CFI 

Bill received his IAAI-CFI certification in 1996 and has over twenty-five years of experience in the investigation of fire and explosion scenes, to determine cause and point of origin. Bill also has thirty-five years of experience in fire extinguishment. In his years as an investigator, Bill has become extremely skilled in interviewing techniques and has qualified as an expert witness in State Court of Georgia and Federal Court.

Bill is a former President, Vice President and Secretary of the Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association and is the current Secretary and Treasurer of the Southwest Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association. 

Stephen Morris

Investigator - IAAI-CFI, ECT, FIT

Stephen has over 27 years of experience in the Fire Service, and over 20 years in Investigations. He serves as a Captain with Americus Fire & Emergency Services in Americus, GA. Stephen currently serves as Secretary for the Georgia Fire Investigators Association. Stephen studied Diesel Equipment Technology at South Georgia Technical College and holds an AS in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.

Daniel Irions

Investigator - IAAI-CFI, CFEI

Mr. Irions has over thirty-one (31) combined years of fire service and law enforcement experience; twenty-one years (21) of which have been directly involved in the investigation, analysis and determination of the origin and causation of fires involving structures and vehicles.  Mr. Irions has investigated over 1300 fires, which have included single and multi-family complexes, commercial properties and those with multiple fatalities and serious bodily injury.  Mr. Irions has testified on numerous occasions in depositions and courts of law relating to origin and cause.

Kevin is the founder and CEO of Cunningham Investigative Associates and a Certified Fire Investigator as recognized by the International Association of Arson Investigators. Kevin was one of the first investigators to become Certified Fire Investigators in the State of Georgia under the IAAI CFI Program in 1986 and has previously been a firefighter and a law enforcement officer. 

Kevin has over 40 years of experience in the investigation of fire and explosion scenes and is highly skilled in interviewing techniques and “Arson for Profit” investigations. He has qualified as an expert witness in the determination of cause and origin in both Federal and State Courts in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

In 1995, Kevin was part of the panel that rewrote the programs for arson investigators in the State of Georgia and he lectures regularly on Incendiary Fire Causes at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. Throughout Kevin’s career he has trained personnel at fire departments and insurance companies at various seminars. 

Kevin is actively involved in training and education of the current and next generation of fire investigators through his affiliation with the Georgia Fire Investigators Association and the International Association of Arson Investigators; he is currently a Co-Chair of the Training and Education Committee of the Georgia Fire Investigators Association and has been a part of the planning committee for the Southeastern Arson Seminar since 1995.  A Past-President of the Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association and the Metro Fire Investigator’s Association, Kevin was honored with Lifetime Membership in the Georgia Fire Investigators Association in January 1995.  Kevin also served six years on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Arson Investigators.

Corey Cunningham

Corey received his IAAI-CFI certification in 2002 after serving as a technician on more than 800 fire scene investigations. Corey has over seventeen years of experience in the investigation of fire and explosion scenes, to determine the cause and point of origin and is highly skilled in interviewing witnesses, performing inventories, conducting courthouse records checks and providing detailed reports to clients. Corey also has over twenty years of experience as a firefighter.

A graduate of Georgia State University (B.S. Criminal Justice, 1999), Corey has been an active member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association and Metro Fire Investigators Association for over 20 years and has participated in many seminars and other training events as both a student and an instructor including teaching Incendiary Fire Causes at the Georgia Police Academy. Corey is currently serving as the 2nd Vice President of the Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association.
